Whereas the soundplastic work of Johannes S. Sistermanns often refers to specific materials in found environments - as for instance the interiors of housing space, staircases or hotel rooms, in "nichts sucht etwas" he works with material which is alien to the space. With the aid of piezo-membranes he transfers three compositions onto three materials in three different rooms (tower hall, bell room, former vestry).
Basalt-lava rock with since thousands of years enclosed volcano air will be made to vibrate, transparent tape shows its special conductive properties and the page of a book becomes the resonance of the written text. Such, three soundplastics ensue from the intensive dispute on texts by the German philosopher and mystic Jacob Böhme (1575 - 1624).
