within the framework of the INVENTIONEN 2008 Festival
Spatial resonances are at the centre of the "Resonant Cuts" sound installation by Michael Moser, currently a DAAD Berlin Artists' Programme grant recipient . A live sequence is recorded that is played back into the room via a loudspeaker and re-recorded. This process is continuously repeated, causing the exiting sound to be filtered by the room's specific sound. The constant amplification of spatially dominant frequencies results in an extreme filtering of the material, and with that an enormous repertoire of sound colours. "Resonant Cuts" is a work that is room-oriented in all its details, in which five musicians each record spatial segments using their own material. The musical material gained by this creates the foundation for the following sound installation.

Eine lange Nacht lang gibt es wieder HouseMusik im Berliner Prenzlauer Berg: Verschiedene Kunstsparten - Musik, Installationskunst und Tanz - werden vernetzt; neue, experimentelle Musik verbindet sich mit Diskussionen, Klangausstellungen und Kompositionen anderer Epochen.
Ein Projekt des KNM Berlin im Rahmen von ohrenstrand.net, gefördert durch das Netzwerk Neue Musik, ein Förderprojekt der Kulturstiftung des Bundes, in Kooperation mit singuhr—hoergalerie und FU Berlin.
