Resonant Cuts
25th July 2008 - 28th September 2008
back to the season

"resonant cuts" is based on musical material produced during a previous concert installation. the installation can be seen as a prolongation of the concert installation over the course of time. surface objects made of glass and metal tread on the musicians' spots and are recorded using mechanical vibration transducers. one the one hand, these surfaces are a configured architectonic intervention that breaks down the space into sub-spaces, but also loudspeakers with complex filtering characteristics. At the same time, the acoustic representation of the surrounding outer space opens up the centre of the water reservoir. "resonant cuts" therein becomes a temporally changing cycle that is composed of multi-layered relationships to space and time.
